SBI Clerical Recruitment 2012 - 8500 Clerks & 1000 Stenographers

Recruitment for 9500 Clerical & Stenographer Posts in SBI : Admit Card for Written Exam

State Bank of India (SBI) has invited the application for recruitment to the posts of Stenographers & Assistants in Clerical Cadres. It has advertised for filling up 8500 posts of Assistants & 1000 posts of Stenographers. These posts also includes the previously advertised 3100 posts dated 27 December 2012. Now written test scheduled for conducting the written test on 18 March 2012 has been revised and not it will be held on 27 May 2012 and 03 June 2012. Those who had applied earlier against the posts of Clerks need not apply now. But if anybody who had applied earlier for the posts of Clerk but wish to apply for the post of Stenographer they can apply now. Those who wants to apply against these posts mentioned above they need to apply online. Online Registration will commence from 05 March 2012 and online application for Assistant & Stenographer posts can be submitted latest by 26 March 2012. Examination fee can be paid from 07 March 2012 to 31 March 2012.

Selection of candidates will be made on the basis of written test and interview/skill test. Written Test will be of objective type and it will comprise questions from General Awareness, Reasoning, Numerical Ability, General English & Computer Aptitude. Written Test will be held on 27 May 2012 & 03 June 2012.

Call Letter for Written Test 

Candidates applying against the above said posts in State Bank of India will have to download the call letter from the bank's website. No hard copy of call letter will be sent to the candidate. Admit Card / Call Letter and Acquaint Yourself Booklet containing information related to written test and instructions for appearing in written test will be available online and candidates must downloaded by visiting the SBI official website from 12 May 2012 onward. Candidates while applying online must retain the Registration Number / Roll Number and Password handy as it will be needed while downloading the call letter for written test.

Admit Card for written test to be held for recruitment to the posts of Clerks & Stenographer in State Bank of India has been uploaded and all eligible candidates can download their hall ticket. No candidates will be permitted to appear in the exam without possession of proper hall ticket. Therefore candidates, who had applied against the posts of Stenographer & Office Assistant in SBI they can visit the official website for downloading the call letter. Lakhs of candidates will be downloading the admit card from the website therefore their might be traffic overload and user may find it difficult to download the admit card. In such case, use should retry after some time.  For downloading the admit card, users are required to enter the Registration Number & Password.
